Hunting stand

hunting stand

Nice new hunting stand on the forest edge in Germany.

Stands offer advantages to hunters in providing a stable rifle rest with know distances. There are also safety benefits in shooting from above the animal as any projectile that passes through or completely misses theĀ animal will probably hit the ground.

  1. Agree. Lot of deer and pigs get taken from stands in all parts of Europe. Dogs are trained to stay still under the stand while the hunter waits and hopefully takes a shot. Dogs will indicate by their behaviour the presence of game and can of course be used to track if required.
